Azzedine Alaia and Peter Lindbergh Exhibition in Paris
For the love of culture of sublime lines, the encounter of two creative minds gave birth to a new exhibition to ally fashion and photography. The works of Azzedine Alaia and Peter Lindbergh have been brought together at the Foundation Azzedine Alaia, in Le Marais, Paris. For the first time, the Foundation showcases a photographic content. This time, a silent dialogue between two worlds that redefine image.
Azzedine Alaia and Peter Lindbergh Exhibition: The passion for black!
Both artists were designers: Azzedine Alaia shaped the body through his textiles while Peter Lindbergh beautified the imperfection of the faces with the light of his camera. With one common love: the passion for black!
The authenticity of traits
The woman is in the center of their works with a subtle focus on lines and shapes, on gazes and stillness in movement. For Alaia, his works must act as a pedestal for the movement of the eyes and smiles while for Lindbergh, the traits must be filled with authenticity. The power of contrasts and the management of lines can define the craftsmanship and the symbiosis of the visions can be reflected in this exhibition, also enriched by a book printed by Taschen.
The cultural thirst can be quenched by this exhibition directed by the photographer's son, Benjamin Lindbergh and the fashion historian, Olivier Saillard. Plenty of time to visit it till 14th of Novembre 2021.
