Wizard of Oz characters designed by Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Jenny Packham and many others

For the 75th anniversary of Wizard of Oz, Warner Bros wanted to do a special celebration. What a better way to do it rather than reinvent them through a different angle?

So, by the use of magic wand, well known fashion designers in the world put their creative vision at work. What resulted from their magic pencils is a reinterpretation of the characters from Wizard of Oz. As magic the story is, as fantastic the designs are.

Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Jenny Packham, Trina Turk, Chris Benz, BCBG, Hervé Leger and Carmen Marc Valvo put their creativity to work and all their creations are going to charity. with all these reinvented characters like Glinda, Dorothy, Wicked Witch dolls.

The designs are available for the public view on September 4th during New York Fashion Week at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
