On Thursday, March 21st, 2019, the West End Hotel will launch a unique concept on the Côte d'Azur. Once a month, opera singers will meddle in the middle of the servers of the restaurant Le Siècle located on the Promenade des Anglais, to interpret lyric songs between two dishes to the surprise of the most amazed guests ... "Original", "Moving", "surprising", such are the comments of some privileged customers who were able to attend the first parties organized during the New Year and Valentine's Day.
Laurie Jauffret, the soprano singer from the National Conservatory of Nice, is the centerpiece of these events for which she will be accompanied by a tenor from the Nice Opera. For the occasion, chef Tanguy L'Yvonnet, who will welcome each guest with a free glass of champagne, has been inspired by the greatest tunes of classical music to create a special menu with two formulas to choose from: Baritone at 49 € (starter / main dish or dessert) or Soprano 59 € (starter / main course / dessert).
A historic establishment on the Promenade des Anglais, the West End Hotel was the first to rise in 1842. At that time, it marked the western end of the city of Nice which inspired its evocative name. With its Belle Époque architectural style, the 121 rooms mix with the requirements of today and the charm of yesterday, half of which offers a view of the sea. At its feet, the restaurant Le Siècle, accessible directly from the Promenade des Anglais, titillates with its Mediterranean map the taste buds of Nice and customers from around the world.
