Vans launches a national campaign Classic and Year of the Horse

Vans Classics will launch a 4 piece-collection for the upcoming Chinese New Year, " Classic and Year of the Horse " and through the countries of the Pacific Asia, in December and in January. To help the launching of this national campaign to be more creative, an artistic work is organised with over 15 different Chinese creative personalities ,wearing the " Year of the Horse " shoe and the spirit of this collection. The " Classic & Year of the Horse" collection was launched nationally in China on December 20 , with an exclusive black version which will be launched on 1 January 2014 .

Since 1966 Vans has implanted in supporting and stimulating creative expression , whether from the point of view of sports action or a musical , or artistic perspective from urban culture. With the " Year of the Horse " collection, Vans Classics works with a recent team of creative personalities , representing the new landscape of Chinese creativity . Underwear urban fashion , illustration and music, working with Vans designers as creative Zhang Jiayi and Cherry Gun Beijing , the shoe designer Kim Kiroic Shanghai and hip hop artist Kafe He Chengdu . All artists involved in the campaign are working on ideas as to follow his own path, the unbounded expression , and freedom : the traits of the horse, Chinese zodiac sign . It was given to these artists to create the theme of shoes and their own thoughts on the upcoming New Year and present a creative project for the " Classic and Horse of the Year . "

Vans will introduce a draft special collaboration with partners such as Vice Magazine and Lens for " Year of the Horse " collection. Vice, which has good stories and familiar urban culture, takes the road with the Vans skate team , Zhang Ziyang , to join his hometown Yili , in the province of North Xinjiang , where they discovered a field sometimes hostile. On Lens Magazine, Vans has teamed up with the art collective Beijing , Ketchup, whose artists literally freeze their shoes in ice blocks for display . Vans is also linked with a newcomer in photography Fan Xin fashion, which was granted total creative freedom for the realization of a photo project around the shoe of the " Year of the Horse ." All pieces created around the shoe " Year of the Horse " will be launched on Weibo page Vans December 12, 2013 .

Having the shape of the original Sk8 -Hi with traditional stripes on the sides ( Sidestripe ) , the " Year of the Horse " collection comes out in a spectrum of colors from red to blue , to pink, in sizes men and women. In addition, Vans presents a model black shoe " Year of the Horse " , which will be available at select retailers. In contemporary western cowboy spirit , the Sk8 -Hi is decorated with fake hair horse, leather reinforcements at the heel and horseshoes printed on the sole.
