The new Resort 2016 fashion collection by Valentino is a plunge into the music festival ambiance. Indeed, the creative directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli took their inspiration from the idea of ecclectic travelling and multiculturalism, from Diana Vreeland's "The eye has to travel".
"We are interested in the idea of harmony that combines different worlds, creating an aesthetic that is really contemporary because it's the fruit of free associations," and the concept of music festivals, Coachella, the Governors Ball came as a perfect fit.
In this collection, simple silhouettes were adorned and embellished by opulent textures, embroideries, geometric motifs such as Navajo embroideries on a tulle gown. The idea of freedom, of bohemian vibes with fun and youthful energy can be seen all over the collection through its suede bralet and shorts, crepe de shine shirts with floral patterns, pajama pants, and also chiffon maxi dress and a luxurious fur coat.
It is a collection that inspires you to travel and enjoy your freedom.
