"We were looking for something graceful," the creative mind behind Valentino, Piccioli, said. "Grace is something you don't see; you feel the grace." From this idea on, the Pre Fall 2016 is a collection of feelings.
Habituated with eveningwear, this collection shows a lot of clothing fit for the daylight, also. On an artistic background like the old Andy Warhol Factory, Valentino showed a creative side, continuing with the spring's cross cultural vibe they started with and the decorative aesthetic they indulge with. Piccioli and Chiuri, the two designers behind the brand, invoke Japan motifs like flowers and fauna, and urban elmements from New York like the skylines.
In this collection, there are pieces like a dress made of multicolored crystals on black tulle, astro motifs shearling cape, black lace kimono dress, embroideries and intarsias. The creativity is there and the grace they wanted to transmit, also.
