Société des Bains de Mer announced it has received the Green Globe certificate for its undisputed well-being and preventive health spa: Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo. The Green Globe certificate is a prestigious, world-renowned sign of recognition in the luxury travel and tourism industry with very high standards. Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo scored 251 points out of the 311 indicators audited, i.e. a level of satisfaction of 82% of Green Globe criteria, which puts this establishment among the most virtuous spas within the sector. Among the establishment's virtuous actions is the use of electricity and gas from 100% renewable energies, health and well-being cuisine by the Chef using organic and local products, the use of many eco-certified or eco-responsible products for the wraps and hair care.
Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo is the third property of the group to obtain Green Globe certification, following in the footsteps of Monte-Carlo Beach and Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. Société des Bains de Mer thus confirms its willingness to develop its commitment to certification consistent with Group orientations and customer expectations. Green Globe certification thus confirms diligent application of the normative requirements of sustainable tourism in a spirit of on-going improvement. The Green Globe guideline covers all CSR approaches for sustainable tourism.
There are 40 core criteria supported by over 300 compliance indicators, some of which are compulsory while others are optional. Certification is granted by audit if the compulsory requirements are met and the rate of compliance with indicators is greater than 50% for each core criterion. Every year, on-going improvement is necessary to keep the certificate.
