Monaco Yacht Show 2022 was a boost in visibility for the yachting world coming to this luxurious place for business and image recognition. This year, it was most about trends and among them there was sustainability, green innovations and ocean environment talks.

The market doesn't seem to want to slow down but to keep the pace with the flows and be on the waves.

Among the yachts exhibited at the show, there were a few that we got to discover from the inside.

Giraud Yacht, cosy and chic

One of them was the Giraud yacht, a cosy and chic design with great volumes and accessories for all tastes. the 40-metre Admiral motor yacht, GIRAUD attended this year's Monaco Yacht Show.  It has large interior volumes for a 40-metre yacht with an array of stunning contemporary living areas designed by Luca Dini and Claudia Kempenfor luxury onboard living. Built in 2013, it offers accommodation for up to 11 guests in 5 suites comprising a master suite, three double cabins and one twin cabin. It is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed onboard experience. GIRAUD offers plenty to keep guests entertained from an on deck jacuzzi to a fantastic selection ofwater toys and accessories including waterslides, water-skis and a jet-ski, scuba diving equipment, wakeboards, kayaks, bikes and paddleboards as well as a 5.7m/18'8" Novurania tender to transfer guests from ship to shore. It also features an ultra-modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion effect, ensuring the ultimate harmony between comfort and her onboard style. With a cruising speed of 14 knots and arange of 4,950nm at economical speed (10 knots), she is the perfect combination of performance and luxury. For the price of €12,950,000

Wally for blissful cruising and exhilarating racing

Another yacht presented at Monaco Yacht Show 2022 was Wally. Progress on Wally's new super sailing range has reached a milestone with the release of the first detailed renderings of the bigger yachts. While building continues on the wallywind110, the in-house design team headed by Luca Bassani has been working hand-in-glove with renowned naval architect firm judel+vrolijk & co and design studio Santa Maria Magnolfi to develop the breathtaking new wallywind130 and wallywind150.

From the exterior, there is no mistaking the exceptional pedigree of these huge sailing yachts. Running aft from the plumb bow towards the open "Terrace-on-the-sea" transom, the sheerline only dips at the last moment. The foredeck is totally free of obstacles or features that could challenge the eye (or the toes) and the glass-set coachroof is so low profile that it barely troubles the lines of the yachts.

"Wally is re-affirming its sailing roots with the launch of these designs," says Wally Managing Director Stefano de Vivo"Alongside the wallywind110, the wallywind130 and wallywind150 represent the pinnacle of carbon composite construction for blissful cruising and exhilarating racing. We liken the boats to the Grand Turismo cars, which is to say powerful and supremely comfortable. I believe these are the best round-the world sailing machines ever created."

J Craft, a Viking heritage

J Craft carries these fine traditions into the 21st century.Located in the heart of Viking country on the Swedish island of Gotland, the Swedish boatbuilder J Craft and its master craftsmen and women are the cradles of knowledge of ancient local traditions that have defined the region's ship building history. J Craft is rooted in Sweden's rich seafaring heritage, and its people are descendants of the Vikings who settled in Gotland from the 12th century. The history of J Craft is a long and winding one. It has been driven by a shared passion for creating one ofthe most exceptional, beautiful, and high-performance boats on the water for more than two decades. J Craft was bornin 1999 with the first 38-foot Cabrio Cruiser. It took awhole year of work, but Hull #1, Polaris, was delivered to her new owner, His Majesty Carl XVl Gustaf, King of Sweden, in August of that same year. A striking 1950s and '60s retro vintage-style boat, the Cabrio Cruiser was distinguished by classic design, beautiful materials, exquisite engineering, and state-of-the-art, thoroughly modern technology. Polaris was built around a modern fiber glass hull with mahogany veneer powered by Yanmar engines with straight shaft propulsion. Based near St. Tropez, Polaris is still being used 20-plus years later and remains the King's favorite boat for Mediterranean cruises. In 2009, J Craft introduced the 42-foot Torpedo. Although retaining the Cabrio Cruiser's elegant and timeless design features, she was a brand new and upgraded interpretation of her older sister's vintage style. Since its introduction, J Craft has built 20 Torpedos, all handcrafted by local craftsmen, each requirin gmore than 8,000 person-hours (or almost one year) to produce. The 42-foot Torpedo series is the J Craft's signature model.J Craft designed the Torpedo's hull in direct cooperation with Volvo Penta to accommodate the rudderlessIPS system that offers effortlessly intuitive and precise handling. The entire construction process is unhurried and characterized by exacting craftsmanship, a key aspect that everyone in the yard takes great
pride in maintaining. In its most traditional form, quality takes time, and it is not surprising there is a lengthy waitinglist.J Craft combines the excellence of classic style with contemporary power and practicality, a finely balanced blend of old and new, where form and function are equally important. All the completed boats are tested in the fierce Nordic waters surrounding Gotland to ensure maximum capability, performance, and safety for owners around the world.
