The jewels that have been worn by great personalities (good or bad) will always have their place because they carry with them a historical perfume. This is also the case of Hitler”s ring with the Swastika symbol.
The ruby ring is being auctioned by the American Alexander Historical Auctions House in Maryland and it was estimated at about 100.000 euros worth.
The ring was made 75 years ago by master goldsmith Karl Berthold. He was a fanatical Nazi who kicked out all his Jewish employees even before Hitler took over the power in 1933.
The ring was found by an American soldier when they raided Berchtesgaden in 1945 and put it in his pocket as a great souvenir. He sold the ring afterwards when he came home. The ring had many owner till he got to the last one whose nephew put it on auction.
The ring is sold along with authenticity documents that attest that this ring was made for Hitler although there is no evidence that this was actually worn by the dictator.
