The spring campaigns are catwalking on our digital windows. Balenciaga prepared also its artillery for this spring with a darker note. Having Daria Werbowy in the center of the campaign, Balenciaga wants to define its new collection by a certain inner power, mystery and strenght.
Photoshooted in a New York studio by Steven Klein, we see the model surrounded by the vines. The dark notes were outlines also by the make-up created by Diane Kendal and the hair by Paul Hanlon.
Under the creative mind of Alexander Wang, the campaign is kind of sordid but really profound: "I wanted to convey a sense of strength and knowingness. Daria is definitely not naïve," said Alexander Wang, and the whole decor with plants and shadows add "a touch of mystery and dark attraction."
