Tommy Hilfiger has always been a preppy trend setter. The old school charisma that charmed an entire generation and created a whole fashion flux! THis influnce crossed the ocean to the other lands and the preppy current never seem to get out of style.
The Hilfigers:
For this autumn campaign, Tommy Hilfiger began his fashion collection taking his inspiration from the "Official Preppy Handbook" written by Lisa Birnbach. The designer asked the author to come with some archetypes for his fashion concept, "The Hilfigers". So, we can see stereotypes like the "A-Student," the "Bookworm", "Après Dude," the "Social Chair," or the "All American."
The autumn campaign is produced under the creative minds of Trey Laird of Laird + Partners , under the lenses of Craig McDean and styled by Karl Templer. Many models can be seen in the ad: Katya Riabinkina, Lea Sorensen, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Bernard Fouquet, Marlon Teixeira etc.
"It was exciting to shoot this campaign at a location that embodies our brand heritage. There's no better setting to highlight the collegiate prep inspirations, British sartorial influences and rich Anglo fabrics of the fall 2013 runway collections." declared the photograher for the brand.
