Yesterday began the 68 edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Grand Théâtre Lumière hosted the amazing actors and stage people like Sophie Marceau, Julianne Moore, Rokia Traoré, Rossy De Palma, Sienna Miller, Xavier Dolan, Guillermo Del Toro and Jake Gyllenhaal, forming a Jury of major artists, directors and actors.
"In 2015, everything is fresh. But I'm not going to dance this year", said Christophe Lambert, the host of the evening, to the audience. "Cannes is a woman! Our eyes linger on an actress's very eyelashes, a symbol of the love that the cinema counts on. Ladies, you have changed the way men see ", he went on.
Julianne Moore received her prize Best Actress awarded to her in 2004 and officially opened the Festival and the entire ambience was embelished by the seventeen ballet dancers from the Opera Ballet in Paris.
