Maona Monte-Carlo, an open-air summer cabaret to celebrate Monegasque heritage
The new art of the party is lived in the most popular places in the Principality and is inspired by its unique history to put stars in the eyes of residents and visitors from all over the world. With Maona Monte-Carlo, two mythical decades invite themselves from the end of June on a villa-terrace set on the rocks, a stone's throw from the Monte-Carlo Beach: the 60s and 70s and their breath freedom, carelessness and irreverence, embodied by the most iconic personalities of the time who took up their summer quarters in Monaco. "Ma" like Maria Callas and "Ona" like Aristotle Onassis, celebrities behind the very first Maona, an iconic Riviera club created a few steps away in 1962, the tone is set. From the end of June 2023 Maona Monte-Carlo will offer a first in the Principality: a summer cabaret under the stars with an amazing Riviera atmosphere, reconnecting with its origins, which will showcase live music and Monegasque culinary heritage.
To imagine a menu faithful to local gastronomy, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer has mobilized its employees, their parents and their grandparents, to collect the best family recipes. On the Maona Monte-Carlo menu, you will find local and shared cuisine, Prawns flambéed with pastis, Tagliolini with capon, marjoram and lemon and a Pêche Melba tribute to the great Auguste Escoffier who marked the gastronomic history of Monaco.
Every day from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., a pianist, a Diva and a DJ will follow one another to give a live musical atmosphere to the setting with a retro and shimmering spirit opening onto the sea. Also on the program: the Bar Sauvage, with creations cocktails paying tribute to the different districts of Monaco, rare spirits such as vermouths from the 50s and 60s or an exclusive digestive based on Monegasque oranges for tailor-made recipes, all under the aegis of mixologist Giancarlo Mancino. A rare gem to enjoy under the pergola on mild summer evenings: an exceptional 1956 Negroni Monte-Carlo, the year of the marriage of SAS le Principe Rainier and Grace Kelly. The experience will be complete with the Tam Tam Room, an ultra-VIP 12-seat space with an original and visual design, a nod to Joséphine Baker.
With Maona Monte-Carlo, all the know-how of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer comes to life in a unique proprietary concept.
