Under the twinkling stars of the Salle des Etoiles, Sporting Monte Carlo and the rose perfumed decoration, the dream of finesse fulfilled in Monte Carlo with the Venetian Ball on the evening of the 4th of February.
A fantastic organization and impeccable attention to details is due to the founder of the concept Venice in Monte Carlo, Delia Grace Noble, the Romanian soprano and Unicef Ambassador. Bringing the magic of Venice and the Carnival theme to Monaco is one of the best ideas for the Principality as it fits perfectly with the style, lifestyle and the royal spirit.
Carnival spirit for the first time in Monaco
In reminiscence of the times where counts and countesses were frequenting Ball evens at the Royal courts and not also, guests in costumes signed by Nicolao de Venise came to taste the Venetian Carnival ambiance, for the first time in Monte Carlo. A first edition filled with charm, glamour that opened the Carnival season on a 4th February. The entire event took place from 3-5 with representations in the city.
Casanova brought decadence to the Principiality of Monaco
Casanova, the official maitre de ceremonies, introduced the guests into a « decadent » atmosphere by his character, to art and amazing performances among which the Romanian National Ballet, the interpretation of the well-known Italian singer, Richard Cocciante, the creator of the Notre Dame de Paris and, most of all, to love, the theme of this edition. More than 70 artists, acrobats, musicians came directly from Venice to participate at this Monegasque edition filled with elegance and luxury.
Charity in the benefits of the Foundation of Princess Charlene
Under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and in the spirit of charity with the foundation of Princess Charlene, Foyer de l’Enfance, the Ball had all its elements to be a complete success. Everything was created with Love in mind just as the idea of the Carnival itself. Way back in 1094 when Doge Vitale Falier had the idea of celebrating the days before the Lent, the carnival began to manifest at an unconscious level. With time, the Carnival was an opportunity to be a social manifestation where there were no barriers. The mask had the role of hiding these social differences and be the main symbol of this « game ». So, a coutume was to greet the costumed person with a « Hello madam mask! ». Just like in Monaco!
Delia Grace Noble wears perfectly her name on the notes of success
The heart of this wonderful event that brought to Monaco all this Venetian energy of the Carnival is Delia Grace Noble. The Romanian soprano had the genius idea of bringing all this magic to Monaco, her adoptive country. Just perfect for the Monegasque landscape! She put her heart and devotion to this event that emerged into a fantastic success.
We are looking forward to this event becoming a tradition in Monaco!
