Thursday, April 5, 2018, the shop DUNCAN in Nice will unveil, in exclusivity, the new collection of American fashion designer John Varvatos. Always eager for exclusive offers to its customers, Olivier Deleuse offers the very first point of sale in France to this emblematic figure of the American menswear that hit the headlines in the 90's with its famous campaign Calvin Klein underwear worn by Mark Wahlberg.
Olivier Deleuse loves to surprise the French Riviera with such exclusive collections in the 2 Duncan shops located in Old Nice (one dedicated to the street man St. Francis de Paule, the other to the woman rue Alexandre Mari). He imagines an eponymous brand that it has recently expanded by judicious collaborations "made in riviera" with the artist at the Blue Chair Sabine - SAB - Géraudie and the Gilletta Editions.
DUNCAN is also a meeting point for the biggest names in fashion. Karl Lagerfeld, Jacob Cohen, Fabiana Filippi, ... all saw their creations scroll one by one at the four corners of their shop for the greatest joy of Nice. This year, it's the American designer John Varvatos who is offered its unique point of sale in France dedicated to his creations.
For more than 20 years, music lovers have been creating collections initiated by music. A universe that was often inspired by the Nicois, Olivier Deleuse, himself a partner of the Nice Jazz Festival and the Opéra de Nice which he dresses the openers and the conductor.
The Azurians will be able to discover in an exclusive French way the creations of John Varvatos as well as the pieces of his capsule collection with the musician Nick Jonas, in a brand new dedicated space of the DUNCAN boutique from April 4, 2018.
John Varvatos, the virtuoso of men's ready-to-wear
After working for Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, John Varvatos finds the music, his first passion that he stages in his own eponymous brand in the early 2000s in a ready-to-wear collection and luxury accessories.
For almost 20 years, the artist with an overflowing imagination never ceases to surprise with exclusive collections inspired by rock. Rebellious at heart, John Varvatos likes to be different as much by his unique style as by his advertising campaigns for which he prefers to call on music icons rather than models, such as Iggy Pop or Alice Cooper.
At the beginning of the year 2018, he signs a capsule collection with the musician Nick Jonas, child star of Disney who has recently risen to the top of the charts after a musical reconversion of the most acclaimed in the United States. Simply called "JV x NJ", the urban chic style of these pieces creates
Already the excitement across the Atlantic and marks the first collaboration of John Varvatos.
