The 20th Edition of Monte-Carlo Film Festival de la Comédie

The 20th Monte-Carlo Film Festival de la Comédie, the event conceived and chaired by Ezio Greggio, from April 24 to 29, 2023 in Monaco, ends in apotheosis. The verdict of the jury composed of: Giancarlo Giannini, president, Richard Anconina, NeriMarcorè, and Nathalie Poza rewarded the Argentinian film "Empieza el baile" with three prizes as best direction, best actor to Dario Grandinetti and Public Prize.
The best staging ex-aequo to Antonio Lukich for Luxembourg. The prize for best actress goes to the Spanish Anna Castillo for "Historias para nocontar", directed by Cesc Gay. Finally, the Short Comedy Award in the section dedicated to short films goes to the film "The 12 apostlesses", directed by Laura Gaza.

GALA EVENING AND WINNERS

A parade of stars at the Awards Gala at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, Saturday April 29 at 7:30 p.m., in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, to celebrate the winners of this edition. Presented by Ezio Greggio with the charming Elenoire Casalegno, the evening will see on the stage of the Grimaldi Forum international and Italian guests most loved by the public of the small and the big screen.
This year, the Movie Legend Award is granted to the Master Costa-Gavras for his 54-year career (Oscar Award for the best non-original screenplay for the film "Missing", a victory at the Cannes Film Festival as best direction for the film 'Section Spéciale' and many other international prizes) and for having made the history of international cinema.

Great expectations also for Mira Sorvino (Oscar winner for 'Mighty Aphrodite' by WoodyAllen), who will receive the MCFF Award for her career and the films that made her famous around the world. Anna Foglietta also highlighted ("Perfetti sconosciuti" , "The American" "Nessunomi può giudicare"), actress and president of the non-profit association Every Child is my child. She will receive the 'Attrice dell'Anno' award (Best Actress of the Year) for the films that have made her one of the most loved and appreciated actresses by the Italian public. Among the winners this year also Federico Cesari (" Skam", "Anni da cane", "Buongiorno Mamma" "Tutto chiede salvezza") who will receive the Next Generation Award, the prize dedicated to the new faces of cinema and television. And still a lot of waiting for Marco Giallini, one of the most beloved Italian actors by the audience awarded three Nastri d'Argento (Silver Ribbons) for "ACAB- All Cops are Bastards", "Tutta colpa di Freud" and "Perfetti sconosciuti", for the first time at the Festival de la Comédie and which will receive the MCFF Career Award. 

Special guest star player Alex Del Piero who left his mark on the Champions Walk in Monaco (winner of the Golden Foot in 2007)Among the young international talents, Ezio Greggio will reward Victor Belmondo,young French actor in the footsteps of his paternal grandfather, the great and unforgettable JeanPaul Belmondo, and destined for an exceptional career.Among the personalities who will attend the evening, Barbara D'Urso, Paola Barolo and MarioDe La Rosa (La Casa de Papel), who returns to the Festival after being part of the jury theretwo years.The musical guest of the evening will be Claude, musical talent who arrives from the Netherlands. The singerwill perform on stage with his hit "Ladada" (Mes Derniers Mots/Time Records/Believe). 

The Charity Artist will do her performance Lady in the Renaissance Bubble of Hopes for Kids as finale of 14th May at the meridien beach plaza to support the MONACO film festival as various other artists like Ariane Smolderen, Calypso de Sigaldi, Assiaka, Johann Lubin des Buards etc for the Art exhibition, Maison Anggy Haif, DBH design etc for the Fashion Show , Louis Lavallée, Sylvie Bourgeois Harel, Achile Roger, Calypso de Sigaldi for the book Signing and various sponsors with big heart that u will discover on the spot...Do not forget the screening start at 10 am to 5pm Zephyr room at 4th floor of Meridien tower and Cocktail start at 5h30 pm til 9pm.
