The TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes ended on October 23 after a successful week. Despite the difficulties that marked the industry ahead of the event, this year was marked by great activity around exhibitions, as highlighted Erich Juul-Mortensen, President of TFWA.
The fact that the TFWA took place just two weeks after the floods in Cannes that affected almost all the facilities in the Palais des Festival, reflects the investment of all partners which enabled the smooth running of the event.
Although visitors with 6558 there was a slight decrease from last year, though they came from a total of 3026 companies. 33% of them were key buyers from the field Duty Free & Travel Retail, about 2,400 were agents and distributors. Although the emphasis on cosmetics, fashion and accessories, many companies in the food industry, beverages and tobacco were also present there, offering their specialties tasting.
In the field of cosmetics, global players like Artdeco, Beauté Prestige International, Beiersdorf, Bvlgari, Chanel, Clarins Group, Coty, Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder, ID Beauty International, L'Oreal, Mäurer & Wirtz, Puig, Revlon, Unilever International and Yves Rocher were represented.
