Johanne Maitre, recorder & oboe, Mélanie Flahaut, recorder & bassoon, Etienne Mangot, viola da gamba and cello do the concert
From the best European conservatories in early music (Basel and Lyon), these thirty musicians pursue a career in the best early music ensembles in France and Europe. Gilbert Bezzina, the founder and director of the Baroque Ensemble Nice, gave carte blanche to these multi-instrumentalists musicians for a concert full of virtuosity.
Georg Philipp Telemann remains a key musician of the eighteenth century, known in his lifetime as his friends Bach or Handel. On the lookout for new developments of his time, he made the link between the Baroque and the Classical period. Self-taught, prolific, he assured his European reputation for himself directing the publication and distribution of his music, also careful to make his music accessible to amateurs. Like the multi-instrumentalists musicians invited for this occasion by Gilbert Bezzina, Telemann plays in its suites and concertos with stamps and all the possibilities of string and wind instruments for a concert up in color.
In parallel, in partnership with the departmental cinema, THE MERCURY in Nice, where the Ensemble Baroque programs a link selection of films with the theme of the season, discover BLANCANIEVES, a movie while lights and shadows of Pablo Berger, who revisits the character Snow White in the Spain of the 20s Grandiose!
