Takashi Murakami and Shu Uemura Collaborate on Holiday Collection

The artist Takashi Murakami is teaming up with Shu Uemura for a beauty collection specially for the Holidays to come. It is a new color collection called Six Heart Princesses after the name of the Japanese anime series. 

The beauty collection contains eyeliners, lip colors, palettes and many other. The price range from cca 24 euros for a eyelash curler to 75 euros for false eyelashes. There are jewel and floral motifs all along the collection.

"I have collaborated with fashion brands [such as Louis Vuitton] in the past and I have experience extracting the culture of Japanese animation and fusing them into new products," the artist told WWD. "Of my different works, Six Heart Princess is the one that fits best with this collaboration because it is the most animation-oriented project of my many projects. I also wanted to explore the desire of transformation by looking back to the history of princess animation."
