Hottest swim trends for summer

What are the summer trends for the swimwear this year?

Ginja, sister brand to successful Australian company Baku, is aimed at women between aged 18 -40 who love to embrace Summer fashion. This cute and flirty collection mixes bold solids with vivid florals, textured Chevron zigzags, Malibu inspired nautical stripes and oriental influenced prints to create a look that is on trend and youthful.

Designer, Tamara Bykerk, has taken her trend inspiration through her travels to LA, Hawaii, New York and South America, with a touch of Paris for femininity and class. The collection features designs based on top holiday destinations such as Sunsets in Indochine (pictured); a digital print with a rich Batik style, Sands of Sardinia; a vintage rose bouquet print,  Inka; a Mayan inspired geometric digital print and South Beach; a graphic scenic Miami print.

Renowned for bold colours, the Ginja ethos is that Summer should have a fun energetic feel, and this is expressed through the vibrant solids and exciting prints which all merchandise together. Fabulous new hues include Flame, Aqua, Flamingo, Marigold, Pine, Silver, Cherry and Seafoam in Moroccan tile prints, exotic Asian florals and intricate placement designs.

Which swimsuit to wear?

High quality, new innovation fabrics are sourced from around the world and each piece is delicately finished with Gold or Silver trim and tassels or precious stone detailing.

Key pieces include sexy cut away one pieces to enhance curves, with low back and hidden underwire support, retro swimsuits and elegant triangle tops with tie side bottoms for a classic Australian surfer chick feel. The U shaped bandeau or booster bra with removable foam pads is perfect for a smaller bust and the underwire balcony bra has the structure to support up to an E cup. These can then be mixed and matched with a variety of bottoms including ruffle tie side, bond girl hipster short, high waisted retro pant or Madrid and Waikiki for more coverage.

The best selling, Platinum collection has been retained for this season, with a selection of classic shapes in Metallic sheen solids with the best selling combination being the Grecian slide padded triangle and hipster bottom.

Bikinis retail from £89 a set and are sold as separates. Delivery dates are October 2013 (cruise) Jan and March 2014.
