The Monaco Grand Prix is approaching, and with it, the celebrations surrounding it. One of the most iconic is Sunset Monaco. Here's the interview with the co founder with Cedric Houdrouge, Thomas Peeters, who tells us all about it.
A new edition that promises to be very dynamic: what's new this year?
This year, we wanted to go even further. The lineup is impressive, with PAWSA headlining, alongside international artists we've loved and supported since the beginning. We're also offering much more daring immersive artistic performances-these are creations designed for SUNSET, with a truly aesthetic approach. And above all, we're marking the grand return of Casa SUNSET, with a dedicated lineup, a more lifestyle format, and screens to follow the Grand Prix live in an atmosphere that's in keeping with Sunset's DNA.
Is there also an international strategy?
Yes, absolutely. We're developing a global vision of the SUNSET concept, which already took shape during the Miami GP, and which is now being expressed through other formats. For example, during the Cannes Film Festival, we're organizing The Hill Is Calling: an evening on the heights of the city, in collaboration with Villa Montana and Le Baron. It's a confidential, guest-list-only event that brings together artists, film talent, and creatives in an incredible setting with André Saraiva and Lionel Bensemoun as artistic directors, and Vincent Darré as interior designer. Our ambition is to create unique experiences in iconic locations, while remaining true to our DNA: music, emotion, and freedom.
What are the key points of this edition?
There are several. First, the musical program, with PAWSA, Parallellle, Salomé Le Chat, Mattéo Diop, and many other talents from the international scene. Then, the new artistic performances, highly visual and powerful. The presence of Richard Orlinski, who returns for the second year with a monumental installation on the beach.
And then, of course, Casa SUNSET, which perfectly completes the experience, from noon to midnight, over three days.
How does SUNSET fit into the Monaco GP?
SUNSET has become one of the most anticipated lifestyle events of the Grand Prix. It's an artistic and festive interlude, by the sea, a stone's throw from the circuit, but with an atmosphere that reflects our style: elegant, free, and sunny. We welcome a very diverse audience: drivers, artists, Monegasques, globetrotters, music lovers... It's this diversity that makes the event so rich.
And logistically, it's simple: we're accessible by tender, which allows for real fluidity during the three days of the Grand Prix.
A vision to define for the future of the concept?
Our vision is to grow SUNSET without ever losing its soul. We want to continue to evolve it artistically, to export it to other places, but always while maintaining a deeply human and sincere experience. We're not trying to do more, we're trying to do better. We want each event to be unique, to be remembered. And we want to continue, year after year, to surprise.
