To the delight of visitors of all ages!

BB-8, the new Star Wars; The Rise of Force hero, launched the illumination of the Christmas tree under the Dome of Galeries Lafayette and shop windows, accompanied by Philippe Houze (Chairman of Galeries Lafayette Group) Nicolas Houze (CEO Galeries Lafayette), William Houzé (Director of image and communication Galeries Lafayette), Agnes Vigneron (Director of the Haussmann store) and Jean-François Camilleri (President of The Walt Disney Company France). It is a tree 25 meters high tree, made of gold and silver and meteorites dematerialized under a rain of stars, that the public will discover at the end of this year.

Boulevard Haussmann, a unique event took over to celebrate the start of "Christmas from another planet" at Galeries Lafayette with STAR Wars ™ as an exceptional guest. 75 artists have thus given rise to a spectacular show featuring the parade of Imperial troops, training of Jedi, all enhanced by impressive waterfalls, amazing lighting effects and special effects. More than 3000 spectators came together to Galeries Lafayette and were able to discover a unique show which got them into the world of the most legendary movie saga of all time. A Stormtroopers parade opened the festivities, soon followed by the Jedi at the top of their art in the use of the lightsaber. Twi'lek Jedi to look incredible took over and R2-D2 droids and 3 other astro-mechanics have followed suit their lead, to the cheers of the audience.

The fervor was at its height when young and old, amazed eyes, discovered the new look of the Stormtroopers as will be seen in STAR WARS: THE RISE OF FORCE from 16 December. The show ended on a high when young Padawans, Jedi apprentice, joined all the artists for the big final. From November 4 to January 2, the "Christmas from another planet" Galeries Lafayette with STAR Wars ™ as special guest, will invite visitors to experience very immersive experiences:

• 5 event showcases devoted to the film STAR WARS: THE RISE OF FORCE in Lafayette Homme: The first new look Stormtroopers, the second to discover the mysterious Captain Phasma which will prove a formidable adversary future The third incentive to travel by showing the cockpit of the legendary Millennium Falcon, the fourth takes us on the desert planet with Jakku Rey, the new heroine of the film, and its famous Speeder and finally the last to discover the different bands ad film.

An entertainment area on the 1st floor of Lafayette Homme, to live the saga through the Disney Infinity 3.0 and STAR WARSTM Battlefront video games, to pose alongside a Stormtrooper or admire some original costumes from the film.

An exhibition entitled "Legion Star Wars" on the bridge connecting the two stores, to find out how many French artists from different backgrounds, have reinvented the famous helmets stormtroopers. This exhibition will be an upcoming release that will be sent Monday, November 9. An unique collection inspired by Star Wars ™ codes created by the French Institute of Fashion (IFM) in association with Disney. This collection is sold at the Disney Store on the 4th floor of the Dome building.

After Galeries Lafayette Nice and Nantes, Disney Store has joined the Galeries Lafayette since November 2, this time at Boulevard Haussmann in Paris.
