The island of Oléron will receive real stars from 7 till 9 June as part of the first European stage of the circuit of World Cup «Stand Up World Series», www.watermanleague.com, the worldwide reference of the «Stand Up Paddle» in competition. On the occasion of this 3rd Oléron Island Stand Up Paddle Tournament, the aristocracy of the stand up paddle worldwide is going to put down the luggage on the splendid Beach of the Huts of Saint-Denis of Oléron, on June 7th, 8th and 9th of this year. Whether they come from Hawaii, from Australia, from California, from New Zealand, from Denmark, from Canary Islands, from Argentina they all come to unstitch it with best national "Riders", but also to discover the wonders of the Country Marennes Oléron.
At the head of this prestigious cohort, phenomenal Hawaiien Kai Lenny. Beyond its many titles in stand up paddle (double World champion in space on the Stand Up World Tour in 2010 and 2011 and World champion on the Stand Up World Series 2012) Kai, 20 years, is part first of all of "Watermen" legend. With mentors as Laird Hamilton, Robby Naish or else Dave Kalama, it is not surprising to find Kai on "Jaws", one of the biggest waves of the planet. Kai excels windsurf, in kitesurf and of course in stand up paddle there.
By its sides, two other boys of Maui (Hawaii), Connor Baxter, current leader of the worldwide classification Breed and Zane Schweitzer which won the stage of Abu Dhabi last April. The Australians are going to come in force also with to the famous waterman head from the gold coast Jamie Mitchell (10 consecutive titles of World champion of paddle board and surfer of big waves also). There is extremely to bet that French riders Éric Terrien and Gaëtan Séné will give everything to defend the colours of France on this incredible stage of «World Tour 2013». For the women, New Zealand Annabel Anderson (World champion 2012) cost to defend its title and, why not, to create surprise by outstripping the men, once again, on long distance as it had so well accomplished it the last year. « It is great news for us to receive Kai and all these prestigious riders from the whole world. Kai comes from Hawaii. He makes the return ticket only for Oléron; it is incredible. A big thank you to him! It is a very nice reward for all those who put themselves on event since its origin and in the very first place for all the volunteers who get involved without counting so that this event is as high as all these big champions.
