SPORTEL Awards 2023 ended this Monday, October 23 with a magnificent awards evening which took place at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco.
A ceremony, broadcast live by TV Monaco, the first national public channel in Monaco belonging to the TV5 Monde network, which kept all its promises.
Preceded by the parade of countless champions of all sports on an emerald green carpet, a color code that the international event has adopted and which marks each of its editions with a unique imprint, this edition's gala will remain engraved for a long time. in memories. In the Prince Pierre room, we noticed a gallery of stars, each more talented than the last, with impressive track records for some, and in the making for others.
During the ceremony, presented by Marc Maury, the former decathlete and rugby player, the 2023 prize list was revealed, distinguishing the most beautiful sports sequences of the year for the Georges Bertellotti Golden Podiums and the best illustrated sports work for the Renaud de Laborderie Book Prize.
A host of champions followed one another on stage to present the trophies to the winners (2), chosen by a very eclectic jury chaired by the vice-world champion and French record holder in the discus throw, 22 times French champion and vice -Olympic champion, Mélina Robert Michon.

Mr. Pierre Casiraghi, representing H.S.H. Prince Albert II, closed the ceremony by presenting the Legend Prize to Katarina Witt, the most successful skater of the modern era, double Olympic champion, quadruple world champion, six times world champion. Europe, eight times German champion. Katarina Witt thus joins the SPORTEL Awards Legends club, after Didier Deschamps in 2018 and Alain Prost in 2019.
