A trendy concept... Lucas, tell us the story of South Mixology Events!
South Mixology Events is a great adventure that began 4 years ago now, after several years as manager of establishments across France, I decided to launch a new concept of mobile cocktail bar and to offer a high-end mixology service with a cocktail menu entirely created using fresh, homemade products. The concept quickly grew and allowed us to grow, we now have several teams and we span France to discover our passion for the art of mixology and molecular gastronomy.
What is your vision for this concept and how will you carry it into the future?
We have expanded our facilities and our laboratory in order to be able to offer even more sophisticated products. We aim to go beyond the borders of France in order to develop our concept in Europe.
What are the innovations in the field?
Our main innovation is the molecular technique that we regularly use in our cocktails, we offer different activities which have opened the doors to corporate events such as printing on cocktails which allows us to print the logo of a major brand or company in order to promote and highlight their brands.
What style or philosophy best suits you?
Our philosophy is passion, work and good humor, I have a team of passionate professionals and experts in their field, handpicked, this is what allows us to maintain a high level of standards, We are trying to recover perpetually in question in order to experiment with new techniques and flavors.
What is your customers' favorite cocktail?
We have a very heterogeneous clientele, the choices and flavors are different depending on the regions in which we work, but I would say that the Julietta is our flagship cocktail. This cocktail is a tribute to my little sister and to our origins (the cocktails carry its name) This cocktail is made entirely from products from our islands of origin: Reunion Island, it is composed of Rum, Alphonso Mango, Passion Fruit, Lime Juice and Vanilla Liqueur 100% homemade Bourbon with a Vanilla that we bring straight from Reunion Island, we finalize this cocktail with a Homemade Bitters to add a few notes of bitterness on the finish. A cocktail that will take you straight to the beaches of Reunion.
Are there any anecdotes to tell during your events?
I will have many anecdotes to tell with the numerous events on which we worked. If I had to choose 2 which marked me, I would say the Monaco Grand Prix which was for me like an achievement given that I am absolute fan of Formula 1. The 2nd is a magnificent adventure where we brought our concept to Reunion Island to create a wedding of 2 magnificent brides and grooms that we met at a trade fair in Montpellier, totally improbable, The adventure was just wonderful, from the organization until the big day, it was a magnificent adventure.
How do you see South Mixology Events in the future?
As mentioned previously, I hope that we will succeed in exporting our concept across Europe, we do not give ourselves any limits. In the future we wish to be a leader in our field and experiment with new techniques and recipes in order to be able to constantly surpass to surprise and provide unique taste experiences to all our customers.
