Skin Care Tips and the Perfect Beauty Regime

Endless column inches have been written about what makes the perfect daily routine to ensure perfect skin, with every beauty therapist coming up with their own bona fide advice.

In fact, it can be hugely confusing as to what to do each morning and evening, with so many guidelines to follow. Secret of Beauty, the beauty experts based in Dubai, recommend a simple routine and some great tips for gorgeous skin.

Keep these skin care tips in mind to ensure a flawless complexion:

  • Resist the temptation to touch your face as this can lead to having spots. Bacteria can easily be transferred from your hands to your face by simply just touching it, so make sure you try to eliminate touching it at all costs.
  • Determine your skin type and buy skin care products that suit your skin type. If you buy beauty products that are not appropriate for your skin, they could wreak havoc on your skin.
  • Never be tempted to squeeze spots; this will hurt, make the spots look worse and could even scar you.

Our recommended beauty regime:

  • Cleanse your face in the morning and the evening, making sure you follow the same beauty regime each day.
  • Firstly remove any make-up with a good make-up remover.
  • Then wet your face with warm water to open up the pores before applying a cleanser and massage it into your face in upwards, circular motions. Wipe off the skin care product when you have completed the whole face and neck area with a cotton pad.
  • After cleansing, tone your face with a toner and a cotton pad. Toner is a beauty product which is used to restore your skin's natural pH levels which may have been altered during cleansing. By restoring your skin to its natural pH, you will make it resistant against bacteria and micro-organisms. The toner should not be wiped off.
  • The next step is to use a moisturiser chosen for your skin type. Gently massage the cream or gel into your face and neck using a circular motion.
  • Once or twice a week make sure you exfoliate your skin using an exfoliating facial wash. This is important as it removes dead skin cells which can leave your complexion looking dull and can clog up pores.
  • Apply a face mask regularly, preferably once a week, leaving it on for no longer than 15 minutes.
