The short film festival of Nice changes the date! 11th edition from 18 till 23 October 2011
A festival it is too short to exchange rate of date, without changing frame of mind.
A return to sources to start a new decade: the short film festival of Nice is born in
October, 2000. After the success of its 10th birthday, shared with the public (6800 entries), and
professionals of the broadcasting (341 accredited professionals), the festival returns in autumn for its 11th
edition, from 18 till 23 October 2011.
Hereafter, it is in autumn when the festival-goers will come to discover the short films of the year
comeing from all Europe (EuropeanCompetition), Close-up on a country (Ireland), as well as numerous
other thematic programs: regional production (programs Courts d'ici), the last creations of
video pop (Scopitone), the best of the animation, cartes blanche, movies-concert, scholastic sessions,
and the professional day Nice Short Meeting...

The Heliotrope association, organizer of the festival, prepares two days of holiday in spring around the court
length to mark the change of date. On April 14th and 15th, 2011, Two days it is too short offer two days devoted to the young public with one
scholastic programs, sessions of trainings (with invited professionals), a Critical Workshop (conclusion of the Workshop of programming of the Secondary school Frederick Mistral)...
At the close of these two days, one party which will give the tone of the 11th edition to come: One party it is too much
short in the cinema Rialto with an anthology of European short films of the year.
Long live the spring, and long live the autumn!
