Who's not fond of Sex and The City?! I bet that you, dear reader, yes, you who are reading right now, you, somehow, saw the movie or one of the series and you saw yourself in one of the characters or situations! It's so alive, it 's realistic in a way and filled with fantasy in another! Frivolous, some may say! Those are the frustrated!
So, Sarah Jessica Parker, the actress who embodied Carrie Bradshaw in the TV series and movies, Sex and the City, is now even more attached to this image as she will prepare a series of books for Hogarth Publishing where she committed to publish three to four novels a year.
"I have always loved to read for the same reason I love to act, which is that other people's stories are more interesting to me than my own," the actress said. "As a lifelong book lover, as someone who treasures and admires the skill and talent of original and powerful storytellers it is my great privilege to be invited into the world and business of books."
Just like her character, Carrie Bradshaw, her love for books and the smell of old books is something very dear to her. Right from her early age when she was not so brilliant at school but her mother taught her to always carry a book in her hand. And now she is writing them!
"I so look forward to offering to readers the sort of books that have inspired my life-long devotion to the written word." And so are we, dear Sarah!
