On Saturday, March 29th, was the evening dedicated to Royalty, to good cause and beautiful gowns. Under the patronage of Princess Caroline of Hanover, the event took place at Salle des Etoile at Sporting Monte-Carlo and gathered a lot of great names. Karl Lagerfeld was once again this year the master of designing by placing his vision (a Russian constructivism this time) into a place that was meant to mix glamour, charity, art.
The benefits from the charity go to Princess Grace Foundation that celebrates 50 years. In this honor, the singer Mika was invited and sang the Grace Kelly song which fitted very well the ambiance.
At this special event, Princess Charlene was the center of attention. She wore a dark blue wool-silk dress signed Akris by its designer, Albert Krimler. The Princess sparkled in a true natural elegance.
The young mother, Charlotte Casiraghi chose to wear a grey shimmering Chanel dress. She came at the Ball without Gad Elmaleh, as the actor is at Lyon on tour with his show.
Many voices asked about the combination of gown and sneakers that Princess Caroline of Hanover wore at the Ball. Definitely a Karl vision! With the sneakers from Karl Lagerfeld collection (reminding us of his collections mixing gowns with sneakers), Princess Caroline of Hanover has recently suffered a knee surgery so it was easier for her to wear the Karl sneakers.
Rose Ball is always an event that is expected among the royalties and a great occasion to see all the shimmering gowns in one place.
