The exhibition of the French painter Robert Combas, opened this weekend at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, receives rave reviews.
A hundred major works of the 80s and 90s, from private collections and public institutions, are presented in the 4000m2 Diaghilev space. The exhibition revolves around the favorite themes of the artist: love, woman, fighting, religion, mythology, music, genre scenes ...
During the opening that took place on Saturday, August 6, one of the guests said, "We have seen the exhibition of Le Touquet, then of Vence, but exposure of Monaco is a fabulous presentation and the location is stunning. A big thank you.. for the invitation that allowed us to see Robert Combas and have a great evening."
In his infinite freedom of figuration as Picasso, Combas plays with the figure. His paintings are a complex and exhilarating game of colors, shapes and patterns. Each work reveals a world in itself.
Appeared in the late 70s, the painting had immediately a COMBAS effect of upsetting the aesthetic ideas of the time.
Free from all movement, profoundly free, the painter Robert COMBAS today continues his fights ...
Admiring the explosive creativity of Robert Combas, Laurent Strouk thought this exhibition as an explosion! Explosions of joy, colors, energy and VITALITY!
The exhibition is open every day until 11 September. Entrance 10 euros. Combined ticket with the Francis Bacon exhibition: 16 euros.
