Let's take a walk through the red sparkling carpet, ladies ! At least that was the invitation that the Haute Couture designer, Isabell Kristensen, proposed us on the glamorous setting like Yacht Club of Monaco ! It was more like a classical meeting between ladies with glitzy life and sparkling eyes on a beautiful night during Monaco Yacht Show and, more, on a China Night event.
Reverberant grace for Isabell Kristensen fashion show
On the 4th edition of China Night during Monaco Yacht Show 2016, elegance was set as the standard of the evening. The collection that Isabell Kristensen presented to a selected audience, called "Les Beautées de la Côte d'Azur" (Beauties of the Côte d'Azur), was a journey through classic reverberance and radiant grace. The collection was divided in two parts, which were not revealed to the press before the event. Passing through black and white, we are emerged into ecclectic blue on classic lines that embedded the symbol of feminity. Isabell Kristensen knows perfectly how to be in trend without distancing from high end fashion. All the elements like pleats, franges, jumpsuits, transparency were there. But above all, it was the fluidity with which each creation walked the red line. Designs included dramatic new interpretations of modernized kaftan cuts, some full length with opulent fringe finishes and guipure lace, whilst use of delicate precision hand pleating create strikingly soft silky silhouettes that seem to sail dreamily down the catwalk. The collection also features fine gold-weave embroidery crafted and sewn directly onto skin-tone tulle to achieve an elegantly illusory effect of gold-leafed human skin.
It is a modern interpretation of the Greek and Roman goddesses dresses, recreating the image of Aphrodite nowadays.
Monaco Yacht Show fits perfectly with Paris Fashion Week, by Isabell Kristensen
The fashion show by Isabell Kristensen is the perfect timing with Paris Fashion Week, this time creating the standard in Monaco during Monaco Yacht Show.
"This was such an important collection for me, and I was so honored to have HSH Prince Albert II attending my fashion show in June where I unleashed the first part of the collection that I could not resist completingthe second part of the collection ... I was so committed to achieve perfection with this collection. This is my home now and very dear to me afterall these years, I could not express all the feelings and designs it invoked with one collection alone. So what if it's twice the size, be it in one or two or three parts, whatever it takes. Who wants beauty in moderation, there is no such thing as excessive extravagance in fashion!", the designer said to the press.
