A FIRST MAGISTRAL ON THE CROISETTE | Matt Hall, a new Australian star in Cannes | Frenchman Baptiste Vignes, 2nd in the Challenger Class

The City of Cannes had never seen that ... No less than 83 500 spectators gathered on the Croisette for 3 days, no sporting event had provoked such a gathering until then!

The Red Bull Air Race has, for the first time in its history, made stage in France in the legendary Cannoise Bay.

For 3 days, the public watched 20 pilots (divided into Master Class and Challenger Class), evolving in a course composed of 16 inflatable pylons, culminating at 25 m above the water.

A historic rendez-vous welcomed by the Patrouille France at the end of the finals in the late afternoon.

At each passage of a French driver (5 in total in the competition), the Croisette rang with applause. Encouragement that brought Le Havre Baptiste Vignes to the 2nd place of the Challenger Class, the best performance of his career.

In the Master Class, the Australian Matt Hall clinches a magnificent victory, very auspicious for the rest of the season.
