Pirelli calendar made in Brasil

As usual, Pirelli calendar is one of the hottest calendar ever. This year, though, the topic took another air under the creative vision of the photographer Steve McCurry.

The winner of the Robert Capa Gold Medal, best known for his 1985 National Geographic cover "Afghan Girl", Steve McCurry chosed Rio de Janeiro, Brasil for its shooting location. He wanted to outline more the human part in the models, "to show the models as real people and to keep the modeling thing to a minimum," McCurry said cited by WWD.

Although the climate conditions were not very permissive as the monsoon season was in its full development, the models were used to it mostly Adriana Lima and her colleagues Marisa Monte and Isabeli Fontana.

With this new Pirelli calendar, we have another perspective, very well masterized through the lens of Steve McCurry.
