It was in 1980 that Peter Lindbergh realized his first reportage of fashion in Deauville for Vogue Italy. It has never stopped coming back every year, seduced by the space of the beach and its changing lights. He will be present at the Festival Planche for a monumental exhibition on the beach of Deauville.

22 photographs presented in a monumental installation will testify at the Festival Planche of this strong meeting between a place and an artist. Peter Lindbergh's first outdoor exhibition, Peter Lindbergh's Deauville installation will be located on the premises where these photographs were made.

In an approach that has tried many photographers, Planche (s) Contact has given itself the theme of exploring and restoring everything that constitutes the identity of a city. The exhibitions created cover various photographic writings, in registers that invite the portrait, the reportage, the nude, the landscape, the fictions and the photographic stagings, the still life, the fashion, the architecture, the recompositions, the diversion , The installation ... Year after year, the Festival evokes and combines the glances of recognized photographers, emerging photographers and students from European grandes écoles de photographie. The student component evolves in 2017 to become the Tremplin Young Talents Board, open to all young people whatever their course. To complete this program, the festival is accompanied by an Off, a word given to amateur photographers and semi-professional lovers of Deauville; A photographic contest - the 25th Mondaine Hour Contest, and a cycle of mediation and events for schoolchildren and the general public.
