At Paris Fashion Week, Givenchy Fall 2014 fashion collection comes as an escape to a fantasy world. I can say this is the best collection ever signed Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy.
It transports you into a world of dreams, luxury and feminity. It has nowhere else such a sense of style and power that comes from clothes but through this magnificent collection.
Luxuriant furs, silk blouses, soft pleats and tucks, all mixes of perfect tailoring and chic feminity. It is a world in its own that has a lot of confidence in it.
"The collection is about celebrating femininity and the rock woman," said Riccardo Tisci after the show. "I've been doing the kind of young and more street look for so long, and I wanted to experiment with this woman who is feeling more like a woman."
Riccardo Risci succeeded with this collection to keep the Givenchy line and bring an even more modern touch to it. We see prints, leopard spots, geometric symbols, tailoring cuts a la 40s with a masculine note, but not a single second the powerful feminity is forgotten. The gowns from the finale were the high note of opulence in a strong and confident way - this is Givenchy collection: a trip to a fantasy and opulent world where the woman is strong and confident.
