and members of the Literary Council, With Christophe Ono-dit-Biot as Master of Ceremonies

This year the Literary Prize was awarded to Michel TREMBLAY, for the whole of his work.

Storyteller, adapter, translator, screenwriter, lyricist, librettist, director and playwright, widely distributed in Quebec and around the world. Michel Tremblay has composed 26 plays, translated into more than 26 languages, 3 musicals, 11 novels, a collection of fairy tales, 3 short stories, 7 film scripts, 17 translations and adaptations and an opera libretto.

He has received more than thirty literary prizes from the Canada Council for the Arts, and was named Chevalier de l'Ordre de France and Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Québec.

With the acceptance of the Quiet Post-Revolution Québec identity, Michel Tremblay gained an important reputation in Quebec literature and was the main inspiration of several Quebec writers and playwrights. Moreover, he is considered today as one of the most important representatives of homosexual literature.

In 2006, he won the Blue Metropolis Grand Prix for all of his work.

This prize is endowed with 15 000 euros.

The Bourse de la Découverte, which rewards a young French-speaking author for his first fiction book, was handed to Blandine RINKEL,

for his work - Abandonment of pretensions - Fayard, January 2017

Born in 1991, Blandine Rinkel writes for various media.

It is endowed with 12 000 euros.

The Highlights of the High School

Created in 2007, in collaboration with the Directorate of National Education of Youth and Sports, this prize is awarded by a jury of high school students in the Principality among a selection of books meeting the same criteria as those of the Paris Stock Exchange. Discovery, was given to: Gilles MARCHAND, for his book, Une bouche sans personne, Aux Forges de Vulcain, August 2016

This prize is awarded € 6,000.
