Ongoing buzz about nails continues to make its rounds through the beauty, fashion and entertainment industries with outlandish creations from velvet and chalkboard DIY manis to jewel and spike nail art seen on the red carpet. This season, making a bold statement can be as simple as a flash back to the basics with natural tones like nudes and light pinks.

"People are returning to traditional colors," said Nadine Ferber, co-owner of Manhattan's Tenoverten nail salon. "The pared-down aesthetic feels Fresh. (The Wall Street Journal, May 24, 2013).

With over 70 shades to choose from, Red Carpet Manicure, the first at-home LED gel manicure system has a nude/pink to match any skin tone.

Not only is the system made for women to do at-home, but it's a celebrity favorite too.

Jennifer Hudson wore the slate "It's Not a Taupe" to  VH1's Diva Celebrate Soul show, whereas Jennifer Lopez has rocked "Fake Bake" accented with "Glitteratzzi." And for a more natural look, Glenn Close opted to just layer the base coat and top coat on her nails at the EMMYs.
