Bridging the gap between the best of jazz and contemporary music, the Nice Jazz Fest unveils an exceptional 2025 lineup, with a major new addition: the presence of 28 bands, four more than the previous year.
Emblematic figures, international icons, and faces of the new guard will all perform from July 24th to 27th, on the stages of the Théâtre de Verdure and Masséna. Offering two venues with captivating and complementary sounds, they will be performing.
Among them: Santa, a French revelation and winner of a Victoire de la Musique; Christian McBride, a nine-time Grammy Award-winning conductor; Jorja Smith, a singer with a golden voice; Edouard Pennes, a specialist in jazz and classical crossovers; Raye, a future gem blending R&B, jazz, and blues; Masego, a Jamaican-American multi-instrumentalist and producer; and Jalen Ngonda, a worthy heir to the greatest soul figures. The Cookers, a group featuring seven historic figures (Billy Harper, Eddie Henderson, George Cables, Cecil McBee, Billy Hart, David Weiss & Donald Harrison); and Tyreek McDole, a figure of the future of jazz.
Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan Area, Deputy President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region:
"The jazz of tomorrow is being played today in Nice. It is with this ambition that we are committed to placing the Nice Jazz Fest at the forefront of musical creation and exploration.
In 2025, not 24, but 28 groups will perform over four evenings in the heart of the city, where artists with diverse influences will deliver performances that already promise to be unforgettable."
