New York Fashion Week 2016 is getting near and all the preparations are being done. And, it all started with a muse, with an inspiration. Whether it is Tahiti, Morocco or Havana, influencial elements can be found all over the collections. Designers put their muses at work and draw inspirations from the world.
Fairies, day dreams, stories are weaven in fabrics and textures meant to inspire and to sell, of course. There is not place for 100% poetry.
Here are some designer's sketches from the upcoming collections.
"The heroine in the epic film ‘Out of Africa.'" - Taoray Wang
Day Dreaming - Self Portrait
"A modern-day Marianne Faithful; fearless and independent." - Rebecca Minkoff
"Late Seventies and early Eighties glamour meets refined Victoriana." - Rachel Zoe
"The bold colors used by contemporary artist Ellsworth Kelly were one of my inspirations." - Monique Lhuillier
