Yesterday, the Swiss National Museum in Zurich turned into a hot spot. NAVYBOOT and Andres Andrekson aka Stress hosted a dinner party. A small gathering of 60 guests, including Baschi, Bligg, Mousse T. and Jubaira Bachmann, celebrated the launch of the first SBNB - STRESS by NAVYBOOT collection.
SBNB is a collaboration between NAVYBOOT and STRESS, initially producing footwear only for men. The sneakers are inspired by the historic battle at Sempach in 1386 - a theme that has been reinterpreted for modern times and has been recreated as a picture on some of the models' soles. The advertising campaign has been staged as a modern version of the battle with Stress in the role of Arnold von Winkelried. The evening began with a champagne reception.
The museum's premises were covered in long velvet curtains and decorated with lances, stuffed pheasants and other medieval details. The guests received a guided tour giving them an insight into the history of Switzerland.
After NAVYBOOT's Creative Director Adrian J. Margelist had welcomed the guests, dinner was served on a rustic wooden table with a view of the museum's courtyard. Cote de Boeuf, grilled artichoke, tarte tartin and other delicacies were accompanied by selected wines served in crystal glasses. Following a warm welcome extended by Stress, who also thanked NAVYBOOT for their excellent collaboration, an exclusive insight was given into the SBNB campaign shoot. The making-of video shows how much fun was had by everyone involved in enacting the battle, especially the crew around Stress. The campaign was realised by the hip photographer Stefan Heinrichs in Berlin.
After A delicious dinner, DJ Vincz Lee (Best Black Music DJ 2010) took to the turntables. With spirits running high, the company celebrated on until the early hours. Some of the guests even got to test the SBNB Sneakers.A limited version of the SBNB High Top model made from black nappa leather was given to every male guest - each pair in the right size.
