Monaco turns into Winter Wonderland

Monaco has put on the winter white coat and turned itself into a fairy tale land not forgetting to pour a little glamourin it, too. It wouldn't be Monaco without it! So, step by step, we discover the preparations that Societe Bains de Mer has organised for this winter Holidays. And the magic is here!

This year's theme is Snow Chic by Monte Carlo! 

Snow Chic by Monte Carlo

From December 2nd to January 7th, 2017, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer transforms the Place du Casino of Monte-Carlo into a glamorous ski resort.

Young and old alike will be able to admire the decorations of the Place du Casino in Monte Carlo, the beating heart of the Principality of Monaco, which offers a sumptuous show of lights on the theme of "Snow Chic by Monte Carlo". For this new edition, the fountain of the Pavillons Monte-Carlo will be transformed into a giant snowball and constitutes one of the main attraction points of the place. A decoration of prestigious vintage elements inspired by the mountain world will complement the decoration, to create an elegant and relaxed atmosphere. Snowy firs and gondolas revisited by luxury brands will be at the rendezvous. While the unmistakable cheese maker M.O.F. 2007, Bernard Mure-Ravaud offers a tasting of rare cheeses, on the menu Bleu Termignon or Beaufort d'Alpage, at the Brasserie du Café in Paris Monte-Carlo.

There follows a marvelous staging along the Monte-Carlo Shopping promenade: Monte-Carlo Pavilions, Square Beaumarchais, Avenue de Monte-Carlo and Allée François Blanc will present a selection of unique gifts to offer . A slalom between the shops!

And the Christmas huts end with a gourmet break around a Christmas chocolate snack, offered in the Belle Epoque room at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo.

Chopard Christmas Tree at Hotel de Paris

The Happy Hearts of Maison Chopard are adorned with turquoise, mother-of-pearl, onyx ... and embrace the Christmas tree of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, which is sublimated by a cascade of lights and diamonds inspired by the sun rays on the drops of water. Mobile diamonds and hearts, emblematic figures of Maison Chopard find themselves in an exceptional setting and share their pledge of love in the suites of the Hotel, the mythical American Bar and the sumptuous Salle Empire. 

The refined Christmas gastronomic spirit 

For the end-of-the-year celebrations, the Pastry chefs of the Société des Bains de Mer creates a signature Christmas Log, inspired by the theme of the mountain and the enchantment. So coveted traditional festive meals shared with the family, or tasted during a tea time, the Christmas log in the Principality of Monaco becomes the playground for Pastry Chefs who have taken up the challenge of the best log in 2016. Coutures, fairy, the Creations have not failed to put on their most beautiful festive clothes. A jury made up of professionals, journalists and influencers divided the talents to unanimously nominate the "Bûche du Châtaignier", made by the young pastry cook of the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo. Cédric Desideri, Pastry Chef of the restaurant L'Hirondelle des Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo, pays tribute to the forest walks of his childhood and invites you to an exceptional bucolic journey: compote of mandarin, light chestnut mousse on a crispy praliné Of pine. To consume on the spot accompanied by verbena or takeaway ice cream.
