On Wednesday 19 February, on the occasion of the Battle of Flowers at the Nice Carnival, Manelle Souhalia, Miss Côte d'Azur, wore the Opera Barock chocolate dress from the Puyricard chocolate factory. Manelle Souhalia paraded alongside the actresses flower battles exclusively on Place Masséna.The Opera Barock dress is a creation of the Chocolaterie de Puyricard for the Salon du Chocolat in Paris. For the Nice Carnival, the master chocolate maker added chocolate flowers in reference to the famous flower battle that takes place every year.
The dress was made in the Puyricard manufacturing workshops by stylist Ben Brass, and Michel Panariello, master chocolatier. The working time to make the dress is 160 hours with 400 pieces of chocolate and a total weight of the dress of 7.2 kg. In addition, the decoration required 25 sheets of 24-carat gold, one thing to add more value to the artistic creation in chocolate, a magnificent sweet masterpiece. It was the first time that the dress was presented outside on a Mediterranean heat but which resisted heroically.
