Jeremy Scott, the Moschino new fashion designer brought up the American vibes on Italian land. Moschino Fall 2014 fashion collection at Milan Fashion Week came with ambalage ... in a creative way. Jeremy Scott outlined perfectly, through this collection, an essential side of our society: the consumerism culture.
We could see junk food symbols chip printed outfits, french fries bathrobe coat, gummy bear dresses. All like a fun candy-like store models catwalking and presenting food. All, under the slogan "Over 20 millions served!" - quite ironic, we may say!
On the other hand, it was like the American gangsta entered the room: big golden chains, big words and labels on clothes, big sunglasses and caskets. A hip hop culture mixed with junk food generation, all in a glam fashion way.
"Every now and again, fashion needs to be renovated and shaken, just as Franco did in the Eighties", said Massimo Ferretti, chairman of Moschino's parent company, Aeffe SpA. And, Jeremy Scott really did this with all his american pores and vibes.
