Metallic bow headband & shaggy knit dress

For me, hair accessories can be really tricky.  I have a few dozen of headbands and hair clips with big bows, beaded flowers, feathers, and even with crochet ornaments but they hardly make it out of my dress room unless it's a new year's eve party or Halloween night. Hair accessories are one of those things that I cannot resist buying in a vein hope that I might wear someday but I find it really difficult to pull them out nicely without looking all 'dolled up'.  In many occasions, I put on one and stare at myself through the mirror for seconds and say, 'nope, this looks too much' and leave it on my dresser with a pang of sadness.    
This metallic bow headband is a recent addition to my store and so far I'm quite happy with it. I think its mesh fabric and dark color blends well with my hair and yet the gold metallic threads sparkle beautifully enough to make a good statement. I even wore it during the day and didn't feel awkward and got some compliments from some people.
