Marilyn Monroe, an eternal beauty icon! A symbol of woman sensuality and feminity that never dies!
Where all the Chanel No.5 inspiration came from?
The inspiration for this Chanel No. 5 campaign comes from an old cover Life magazine in 1957, where Mairlyn Monroe declared that in bed she wears only Chanel No.5. More than this, there is a recording with Marilyn Monroe in which she says all these in an interview with Marie Claire s then-editor in chief, Georges Belmont.
The Marilyn Monroe interview regarding Chanel No 5
In the interview, Marylin Monroe says that people always ask a lot of questions.
"They ask me: ‘What do you wear to bed? A pajama top? The bottoms of the pajamas? A nightgown?' So I said, ‘Chanel No.5,' because it's the truth....," she explained, cited by WWD. "And yet, I don't want to say nude. But it's the truth!"
The voice of Marilyn Monroe is used in this campaign along with a photograph made by Ed Feingersh with the star holding a perfume in her hand.
The campaign will be live on television and magazines.
