Mardou&Dean presents Autumn Winter 2016, a parallel women's and men's collection, in a unique apartment designed by Tristan Auer in the heart of Paris, located in the Ile Saint Louis. Auer is well renowned for his haute designs and his view on interior compliment well Mardou&Dean`s first collection presented in Paris.

At the core of the AW16 collection lies the urge to interpret zeitgeist and evoke the feeling of a new individual.

Draped silk and ruched sheer fabrics float together like a space dream, in stark contrast to the construction and technical tailoring of the wool suits and leather jackets. Made in an artisan Italian atelier with traditional Florentine leather techniques, the leather pieces are crafted to age gracefully. Condensed wool, thick cashmere a Toscana fur faces stiff elastic, soft silk fringe and shiny metal. New colors are sage blue, cream beige and burned orange.

The men's and women's collection mirror each other; combining an androgynous silhouette with strong feminine and masculine vibes, with focus on an individual look on each model. The coats are worn by both sexes and emphasizes the distressed signature look. The models also wearing ski goggles in two different colors, made in collaboration with Kask of Sweden.

"I wanted to explore the visual expression of hard lines combined with extreme softness, and how these two contradicting factors complement each together" says Creative Director Ingrid Bredholt.

Mardou&Dean is an award winning Oslo based label, established by Ingrid Bredholt and Patrik Rosenfors. Through their interest in art and travel the story of Mardou&Dean is told. Ingrid identifies new collections with focus on breaking the clothing rules and with great emphasis on how the clothes are made and how they make you feel. With seven runway shows behind in Oslo and Copenhagen the brand is presenting AW16 in Paris the first time. Collaborations with other creatives is at the core of the brand, expanding their portfolio this season with photographers Anna Stokland, Stas Kalashnikov and Soraya Daubron.
