‘Wow, I'm a real designer. I have a perfume,'" Marc Jacobs told WWD. This is one of the designer's wishes and he returned to his past experiences at LVMH to get his inspiration. The muse for his new perfume Mod Noir was the scent of garnedias, the base of his first fragrance at LVMH.
"When fragrances first started, I was superexcited about being able to do it, and I thought, ‘Well, we'll see how it goes. If it works, then we'll do more, and if it doesn't, we'll try again to do something else.' The best test is the customer.", the designer continued.
The fragrance contains at the base gardenia and musk, having a fresh floral vibe to it. The bottle is striped in black and white colors.
The perfume can be bought at Sephora and Marc Jacobs' boutiques starting from June.
