In Cannes, last March, a reception was held to kick off the official BWAROC 2024 show, generously sponsored by Roberto Cavalli and Orka Investments.
The kick-off party was to help bring a message about World Betterment (BWAROC 4 Humanity.org has four missions) and raise funds through an auction and raffle. The BWA Roc 4 Humanity (registered 501 C (3)) motto is that BWAROC is "Entertainment that gives back." The big annual event has raised over 3 million, and we hope to double that in one night." CMO Jessica Marie mentioned during the live auction. Roberto Cavalli Cannes, under the tutelage of Regis Gourtay Gallenne, store manager, made sure the Boutique looked especially beautiful. A Roberto Cavalli mini dress worn by Miley Cyrus was on display. The vintage slinky Cavalli Miley Cyrus wore in the "Doctor Work it Out Video." It received many ohs and ahs!

The European Cannes BWAROC reception drew 150 guests, primarily from the U.K., including esteemed Mipim executives worldwide, including Tony Parker of Assurd Partners-who insures major hotels, real estate, and yes-- concerts! Parker was the highest bidder on the Rolling Stone photo of Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood at the 62-22 concert. Attendees noted the novelty of the charitable reception. Mipim rarely features charity events, and this one was such a fun fundraiser. Two tickets for the Tenth Annual Better World Awards Roc 4 Humanity show in December 2024 fetched 30,000 euros for front-row center seats!
Fashionably attired guests, such as Gina Defranco, added to the glamour of the evening, donning a stunning cocktail dress ensemble that captured the essence of the French Riviera.- a Roberto Cavalli winter green silk dress with Lanvin
black early 1960 style coat and matching green & golden pointed heels by Prada with a YSL sleek bag. Despite a hint of wintry chill, the breathtaking sunset in Cannes provided a picturesque backdrop for our revelers.
Since its inception, the Better World Awards Roc 4 Humanity has raised over two million euros, honoring celebrities and often donating to their charitable causes. Notable guests and honourees have included Eva Longoria, Bryan Ferry, Kate Hudson, Supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio and Kendall Kardashian, F1 World Champ Jenson Button, Boris Becker, Rita Ora, Elie Saab, Ky-Mani Marley, and even HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, who presented the BWAward for environmental protection to Julian Lennon for his work in conservation efforts; funds were donated to Lennon's White Feather Foundation and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation; BWAROC.org helps other charities projects including the BWA projects.
