Burberry Prorsum came with a specific theme this time at London Fashion WeeK: the quilt. The art of quilting is transposed into a modern presentation of a collection to be very grounded in its terms. There were used traditional quilting techniques of Durham, England.

"It started with the idea of folk art and craftsmanship - and people who learn to do things with their hands," said Burberry's chief executive and creative officer, Christopher Bailey.

Rich in earthly tones, the collection made its way to the high street fashion. There were long suede capes, ponchos, and of course, trench coats, micro-quilted, paisley and flower-printed coats.
