LINDA LÊLinda Lê was born in 1963 in Dalat, Vietnam, where she spent the first years of her childhood. In 1969, the family went to Saigon to flee the war. Linda Lê is studying at the Lycée Français and is passionate about Victor Hugo and Balzac. In 1977, she left Vietnam for France and arrived in Le Havre with her mother and sisters. In 1981, she moved to Paris full of ambition, attended khâgne classes at Lycée Henri-IV, then enrolled at the Sorbonne.
His first novel, _A so tender vampire_, appears in 1986 at La Table Ronde, but it's mainlyto Éditions Christian Bourgois that she then publishes her novels, short stories and essays, except _Les Gospels du Crime_, very noticed when it was published in 1992, published by Julliard and later reprinted by Christian Bourgois.
Critic at _Magazine Littéraire_, Linda Lê is also prefacière.Linda Lê has always had an infinite love for the French language and literature. From _The Gospels of Crime _ (1992), the originality of her style is deployed to associate a kind of immediate lucidity, a rigorous truth and a verbal elegance that belong only to her. In each of his novels there is a fight, personal or imaginary (_The Trois Parques _, _ Les Aubes_, _Lettre morte_), where the serenity of writing contrasts with the brutality of the situation. Abundantly translated into English, Dutch and Portuguese, his work has been published almost entirely by Éditions Christian Bourgois, of which she is the figurehead of contemporary French literature.Critics believe that Linda Lê's books know how to register "without noise" in the literary landscape. His style would be imbued with "a force of analysis and an oratorical distance that it seems to inherit from the seventeenth century".

Psychological thriller to the Dostoevskian fever, _In the forest of the hamlet of Hardt _shows the difficulty of saying the horror. Plunged into apnea, or on the contrary hiccuping to the rhythm of breathless phrases, the narrator leads us to the darkest heart of his confession. While on vacation with a friend, he died in troubled circumstances. Since his refuge, he tries to digest events and find a balance through the continuation of his study of the work of Thomas Mann. He tries to say, to find the words to describe what happened.
